This is a landmark for the local cyclists, called Butt-Rock. Some moron painted a red thong on it and now it's been painted over, making it look worse. Idiots.
We approach the first part of Wildcat. It's part of the Pine Flat Road Race and Climb to Kaiser. This road is 10%-16% for a 1.5 miles. Good times.
Once at the top, we can see over the valley. It looks barren and yukky, but it's quite serene.
Bella Liz, Becky and Bella Lisa are relishing their break at the top of the climb. It was the first time for Bec and Lisa. Woo-Hoo!
Like cows to the barn, we're headed home. We got in 2.5 hours and we were done before lunch time. That is the best part about our summer mornings; we can roll out at 7:am and it's already warm'n sunny.

Hey, Denise! Next time take all pictures from the front please--I can hardly see the scenery around my big ol' butt!
Great ride this morning--thanks for showin' us all the ups and downs, as it were...
wait, that's part of the Pine Flat RR?!?!? Amazing how different it seems to look in pictures/not while racing.
Yup, T, this is the last 6-8 miles before the finish line. It sucks every time I go up.....race pace or at a snail's crawl.
another cool ride...
